Joyce came to the Centre with a wealth of knowledge and experience having been a member and President of the Multiple Sclerosis Middle Ridge Hall Committee in Toowoomba where she was heavily involved in organising their weekly Old Time Dance. This gave people of all ages many hours of exercise and enjoyment.
Spending 18 years as a Lions Member Joyce has held most Executive positions in the Club and worked side by side with other members to raise funds for the “others less fortunate than themselves”.
Having come from a farming background then moving into Administrative and Accounts she has also been beneficial to the Centre.

My name is Shirley and I have enjoyed being a participant in many community organisations. In my travels throughout Queensland, I have been on many P&C Associations; introducing the P&C in many community events and was an executive member of the Quota Club in Biloela and the Maroochy North Shore Lions Club on the Sunshine Coast. I am presently involved as ‘Treasurer’ in the over 55’s ten-pin bowling league at Alexandra Headlands and as an Organiser of card groups located at Kawana and Mudjimba. I am enthusiastic, always willing to assist and enjoy helping others. I thoroughly enjoy immersing myself in the local community and at the North Shore Community Centre.
