Carol Dawson -Oil Painter

A bit about Carol in her own words:

“I have been painting in oils for more than 30 years. Apart from taking Art as a High School subject I have had no formal training, although I did attend many classes and workshops over the years learning a lot from different tutors. This has contributed to my style. Each painting completed is a source of learning.

Visiting Art Galleries here and overseas is a passion and I do believe much can be learnt from these experiences.

I have exhibited with the Coolum Art Group for several years. Currently I attend the Mudjimba Art Group which meets and paints each Wednesday. The group has been active for many years.

I do enjoy painting a variety of subjects including seascapes, children’s subjects (my granddaughters are the proud owners) but my favourite would be animals.

I paint just for the joy of it, interest and relaxation. Also, to see the finished product that begins with a blank canvas is a delight.

I hope you enjoy my work.”
