The gift of drawing and painting was discovered early in life for Pamela. Encouraged by her mother who was an accomplished artist, Pamela was often found drawing on a remote beach or painting the family pet animals in watercolours. Becoming a member of the Royal Queensland Art Society Younger Artists group in teenage years, sketching parties around Brisbane and entries in exhibitions became the norm. Later on, following marriage to Nev and subsequently the raising of five children, artistic ventures were put on hold until oils became the favoured medium.
Over the years Pamela has held two very successful solo art exhibitions and has achieved several prizes and highly commended awards for her art and her extensive work in ceramics. Her ceramics work has played an important role in her endeavours to create works of beauty. Having pursued many of the aspects of this craft including mold making and as a member of the Mount Isa Potters Group, Pamela taught the art of hand building, wheel, glazing and firing.
Inspired by the magnificence of God’s creation, Pamela believes her inspiration in her work comes through the Master Craftsman, Architect and Creator of all that is beautiful.
